Victims of Hurricane Katrina were dealt another blow this week when it was discovered that the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) hoarded $85 million worth of household goods in a warehouse in Fort Worth, Texas.

According to FEMA’s press secretary, James McIntyre, FEMA gave the household goods away earlier this year to other federal and state agencies because another agency wanted to tear down the warehouse.

    It is an outrage that these supplies were just sitting all that time,and what’s worse is that the state of Louisiana wasn’t concerned with trying to get any of these materials for it’s citizens. Even Mississippi kept some supplies to use. It seems like they have this OH WELL attitude about the whole situation. This is why we need CHANGE.
